Auto, Light Truck, Motor Home Information

Use this type for most private passenger cars, pickups, SUVs (Sport Utility Vehicles), under 6,000 pounds declared gross weight, including commercial vehicles which operate within Nevada only. Use this type also for all private motor homes and RVs regardless of weight.

VIN = Vehicle Identification Number. - This is found on your registration slip, title, Dealers Report of Sale or the lower driver's side corner of the windshield on most vehicles. Be sure to check this number carefully and type it in accurately.

MSRP Information

Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price - when the vehicle was NEW. (What the vehicle retailed for when first offered for sale). The MSRP on new vehicles can be obtained from the Internet and other printed sources. The MSRP on used vehicles can be determined from the vehicle registration.

This estimate will be based on the MSRP you entered. Fees may be different depending on the actual MSRP.

Motorcycle

Motorcycles over 50 cc's and capable of speeds over 30 miles per hour must be registered and insured to be driven on public streets and highways.

Truck, Cargo Van, Bus

Use this type for any vehicle, other than private motor homes, which is over 6,000 lbs. declared gross weight. Select the proper weight range from the menu. This is used in calculating the basic registration fee.

If you operate any vehicle in interstate commerce, you must obtain an apportioned registration through the DMV Motor Carrier section. Any vehicle which weighs 26,001 pounds or more also must register through Motor Carrier.
